Delicious lentils that have a firmer texture upon preparation. They are especially good for salads or mixed with rice and vegetables for a complete wholesome meal.

To prepare mix 1 cup of lentils to 2.5 to 3 cups of water and cook for about 15 to 20 minutes -- add a little olive oil, salt, thyme, sage, and rosemary along with root vegetables such as carrots and onions to the pot as they cook.
